Exactly. I have plenty of IT experience, and this is not a feature that should be included by default. I can't even imagine a case where you'd want it.
In the event a client wanted it, we'd make them sign a request, sign that they've been informed of the risks, then sign a waiver of liability.
In a U.S. election, from the smallest school board to the highest office of the President, it should NEVER be an option.
