My mother had me read Solzhenitsyn and every bit of documentation about Holodomor she could find when I was in high school as I prepared to go off to college. It was her final attempt to make sure I'd make it through and earn my degree without falling to the Marxist re-programming. The cognitive dissonance of trying to operate in a world that so desperately throws blatant lies in your face while pretending reality did not happen is maddening. Only knowing the truth, and clinging to it unapologetically, will set us free.

The Armenians will never forget their holocaust that actually happened either. The mom and pop grocery in my old East Hollywood neighborhood speaks of it still to this day.
