The khazar theory says most ashkenazi jews don't descend from the original hebrews but from a caucasian tribe called the khazars who converted en masse to judaism. The implication of this is that the do not have a right to the "land of their ancestors". Jews try to dismiss this theory and apparently some sources say there is DNA evidence of that. I'm not sure, and either way I don't really care.
