I've seen them in fitbits, apple watches etc and they're always far too tight.

It reminds me of how work thought I was cheating because I regularly get 20k steps and most of the people in the fitness challenge couldn’t get 5k daily. They were all obese and wanted to get leaner.

I guess it’s good to know how far you’ve got to go in life but these people never seem to want to change.

To signal to others that they are health conscious even though their every other actions suggest otherwise. It lazily conveys the same sentiment as "but I eat a salad and 500 calories a day and still gain weight!" to others

Fitbit is for noobs and dilettantes. When I was shopping for a reasonably priced fitness tracker, fitbit didn't even have onboard GPS which is why I went with Garmin. The only thing that fitbit does better than Garmin is sleep tracking which explains why fats love them!

Land whales are the only ones I see wearing those. Every fat piece of shit in my office wears one.

I have one, like the quick stopwatch for timing planks or stress holds. Is comfy as a watch as well, and the basic heart rate monitor us nice with my Low blood pressure issues. But do I 5gink it magically is the reason I'm thin? Fuck no. Too many days but these things for the delusion, not the actual use they get out of it.

Virtue signaling. The Fitbit is supposed to show you how much they care about health and exercise. Their bodies tell the truth. For those of us who actually do care about health and exercise, Fitbits just signal how little you know about either.

Probably to keep an eye on their high blood pressure/ elevated heart rate they pretend isn't a problem

So that they can feel justified when they complain about how "difficult" it is to get 10,000 steps a day.
