Fit bits, smart watches.... can’t stand either of them.

Look at my fitbit, it HAS to be the hormones!

I repeat myself: we live in the age of magic.

Same reason they have neon hair and brand name clothing. It is a signal. They are signalling that they are health conscious to others who they feel may not be aware or who need to know they are health conscious. The hair signals that they are eccentric, unique, youthful, progressive, and exuberant and the clothing signals a level of economic status, fashion knowledge, and personality. That's the intention anyway. Many of these are deliberately false signals trying to hijack the message of the original. Fortunately, we have evolved to not only receive signals, but to identify false signals that allow us to understand that the hair, clothes, Fitbit, and obesity indicate narcissism, stupidity, gullibility, obnoxiousness, greed, etc. The arms race is in the sender of deceptive signals creating sufficiently deceptive signals and in the receivers identifying new and false signals.

Fatties are people who think buying/consuming crap will solve their problem. That's why they buy fitbits and expensive bullshit diet plans and pills and a million bullshit weight loss products instead of fucking eating less.
