I ran into a snag as I tend to carry 2-3 firearms at a time. It is entirely legal to conceal and carry in my state with no permit. You don't even have to register the gun. but it is illegal to conceal and carry while wearing a mask or face-covering.
I've read a lot of legal opinions that say the intent of the law is to make it illegal to wear a disguise while committing an armed crime. Theoretically the govt can't deny you your 2A rights just because they illegally mandated the wearing of face diapers. It would be an interesting case if someone were arrested for being masked while armed, and I'm not sure anyone would want to open that can of worms - especially because police are masked as well and some of the laws probably don't distinguish police vs civilians.
I carry everywhere, and am 99% mask-free, but I have worn a mask while carrying when I absolutely had to wear the mask. I would just look up the law in your state and see for yourself if it is well written and indisputable, or if it is overly broad and has wiggle room (or even mentions intent). I think many places have amended their similar laws to add extra charges if you are carrying while masked and committing a crime (hence the "intent"). Gun restrictions suck.

I never wore one. I'm in a big city and it's mandated. I drove one state over for groceries until it was mandated there. I then went back to ordering on-line for drive up/pick up. This weekend I'm driving several hours to go to a mask free state for the week; just to be normal again. When my lease is up, I'm leaving the city for good.
