How long do they leave it in? How do they shower daily without moisture becoming trapped between their skin and the glue and having it mold around the edges? Do they pry the unit off of their heads, and does it take the hair off of their edges with it? I have more questions than answers now. Up until this point I just assumed that they were wigs that were removed nightly.

They leave them in for somewhere between four and twelve weeks, although the lady in this video recommends never going more than 8 weeks, because you normally shed a dozen follicles per day. Multiple that by 12 weeks and that's a thousand dead follicles trapped underneath, in good circumstances. She also cautions that the follicles underneath will continue growing and become matted if left under too long.
I haven't actually looked up a removal video, but I guess I'll need to now. There are cautionary measures to take to ensure it doesn't rip off the anchoring braids, but I know I've also seen there are videos where the braids did not stand up to the forces involved and ripped out.
As for glue, I don't think there was any. I think she had a bottle at one point that she described as beeswax, and that was it. It's all thread and stitching into a net, secured into braids.
