It should be the Churches and charities and the citizens themselves who are performing works of mercy. We should not outsource charity to the state, that just leads to the welfare state and socialism.

Is Bezos a Democrat?

[–] Blacksmith21 0 points 4 points (+4|-0) ago

I'm not one for redistribution of wealth, but I can tell you if I made an extra $74B in one year, there would be tens of thousands of people helped by that money. For $50B, you could invest 25,000.00 pp X 2 million people. And still have $24B leftover from 2020 profits alone. Yet, none of the billionaires seem to do much with their wealth - other than create vaccines for 3rd world countries.

You can bet bezos is not entitled to all that money. I bet most of it goes back to the C_A to help fund their war on the US. If it wasn't for jews and the C_A amazon, google, twitter, facebook, etc... wouldn't be the mass propaganda machines they are today.

Kill them both.

Extremely well said! Thank you!

This post takes two unrelated pieces of information and attempts to infer causality, as though somehow Jeff Bezos caused those 1.5 million children to live in homeless shelters. Stupidity being projected as wisdom. It is like saying I am allergic to peanuts and the Georgia Peanut Farmer cabal continues their efforts to kill me by raising peanuts.

[–] Seer1965 [S] 0 points 2 points (+2|-0) ago

Not the intent... Try to think (if you are able) about what $74 billion could do to help 1.5 million homeless children... Try to think (if you can) how being deemed an essential business helped bezos greatly while small business were shut down. Wisdom requires an ability to see through some complexity other wise what is put forward is stupid peanut logic

[–] toadunka 1 point -1 points (+0|-1) ago

that is a socialist frame of mind. There would not even be 74 billion to discuss if Bezos had not devoted his life to building his business. But somehow, because his was deemed an essential business (and it has proven to be essential during this pandemic), we are supposed to wise enough to condemn Bezos and Amazon for succeeding in adversity, casting aspersion upon them because there are children who are homeless. Go back to Russia you commie.

Remove patents as a start.

edit: If they are not removed completely, decrease the amount of time they can be in effect. The end result is about the quality of the product and service. Innovation will still occur because people have ideas they want to market. Perhaps something other that patents can exist, like the right to claim you're the original creator of X feature or product.

Obviously this would need to be well thought out and no some passing comment on voat.

Poor fags attacking the rich is so pathetic. No one takes responsibility but always wants to point the finger.

Jeff Bezos is an asshole shitlib, but Amazon got huge by delivering product with speed and providing customer service. There's no government program forcing people to buy from Amazon. Almost twenty years in and competitors still can't figure out that Amazon's success is their customer service. You can buy that cheap Chinese junk secure in the knowledge that if it sucks Amazon will pick it up from your front porch and refund you for the trouble. Until a competitor matches that service they're never going to beat Amazon.

Wealth is not a zero sum game. My earning money isn't taking away from your ability to earn money. Wealth is generated, not transferred around. Jeff Bezos is a piece of shit, but he is not making those children homeless. This is a typical shitlib mentality.

I agree with much of what you have stated here... Many small businesses were forced to close during the plandemic while Amazon was deemed essential and the playing field further tilted to eating small businesses lunch... important distinctions needed to understand major difference to shitlib mentality... when it is missed yet again in error small business shrinks yet again

I agree, but there's a fine line between helping small business and kneecapping big business. Society cannot advance if we make it our work to narrow the gap between the successful and the less-successful by dragging the successful down. We can't kneecap successful big business to help small business. It won't even help small business and it will retard our economic output. The only proper thing is to make sure that the government isn't doing anything to tilt the playing field one way or the other, then let the market sort it out.
