I love ASOIAF. I like GoT.
I love discussing ASOIAF so much. I could literally talk about it all day, but sadly half of the things I say make no sense to my show watching friends. Whenever possible I always try to get them to pick up the books.
Yes I've seen Breaking Bad. It is better than GoT.

Absolutely love the books, cannot stand the direction the show has been taking post-season 1.

I read the first half of the first book. I realized at that time that it would be an unending drama trip and would be at it for a long time too. I dug the ideas and the setting, but just couldn't make myself care about characters that were treated with such disregard.
HBO picked it up, and it got so popular that my stubborn anti-popularity circuit kicked in and I never even gave it a shot.

I have not seen the show, and I only know what maybe 2 or 3 of the characters look like. I intentionally avoid it because seeing how other people picture characters and events in books messes with the perception in my head, and that irritates me.

Never read any of the books, only saw some of the show. I couldn't get into it, just didn't find it interesting, only managed to get through a couple of episodes and only managed those because I was stuck in a hotel with garbage choices on the PPV. I found myself looking at how it was shot and edited rather than paying attention to the plot or relating to the characters.

I was not into it for a while after trying the first couple episodes of season 1 a few times. People kinda were taken a back. This summer I moved to a new city and had a whole lot of free time by myself so I gave it another shot and about halfway through season 1 I started to enjoy it. I powered through the next couple seasons, its pretty good.
