How did they move the missile? ROMES...is the system that tracks them in Navy ‘Ordi’ world. I only know that because I once worked on that system for NMC EAD in Maebata Japan.
Having served on numerous surface combatants it is incredible to think that they took a sub completely unmolested. I dont doubt it, it’s just there must have been a deal made with higher ups to do so. I’ve stood thousands of hours of topside watch and AT/FP (position called ATTWO) as well as CDO (Command Duty Officer) and Officer of the Deck. We have small arms release authority and rings around the ship for Force Protection. I know Russians and US forces have stringent TTPs. It’s clearly string pulling for something like that to happen. A crew is trained in pride in ownership. That leadership would allow that is...beyond the pale.

They had a sub, It's the CIA the took a whole Russian sub at least once.
