Wanted to be a "scientist". I had no idea what that meant as a child. Now I work in a lab. Not doing research though so I'm a phony.

You probably wear a labcoat though right? To kid you, that's probably exactly what you meant. At least kid me would think that.

That's cool, I'm glad you at least did what you wanted for a time.

As far as journalism goes no idea but you can always learn to make videogames. If I can do anything in blender you surely could. Try it?

I wanted to make video games. Ever since I can remember. Currently I'm a programmer for the military, but I make games in my spare time, so I guess that counts as making it? idk.

One word. Vertices!!! Making games is hard. I don't make them but my SO does. I help him make clothes for npc's though.

Tbh I've pretty much stuck to 2D games. I'm not an artist by any stretch. I tried 3D modeling and they looked like garbage, so I just stick to sprites. That's really cool though haha.

I wanted to be an attorney, years of watching Jack McCoy on Law and Order will do that to you, and I went to law school in an attempt to further that dream. However, the more I learned about how the criminal justice system truly worked, the more disillusioned I became.

May I ask, what really killed it for you the most?

Have you heard that the system is unfair and was purposefully constructed in the way that it is now in order to collect as much revenue as possible; while also relegating large swaths of minorities to effective second class status? As I progressed through law school I learned this is 100% true, everyone knows it, and no one cares.

Never too late for that one I think though. Do you still see it as a possibility for the future if your current vebture ever were to not pan out?

I wanted to be an auto mechanic. It's a lot harder to break into the field than it sounds. There are 2 mechanic programs around here but you have to already work as a mechanic or be sponsored by a dealership to get accepted into the program. But, nobody will take you in unless you know what you are doing. So, pretty much, it sounds like you have to grow up with a family member who is a mechanic to get into it. Or maybe the military? My current profession is IT related.

Well if you grow up with a family mechanic and get experience but no schooling then you are in the same boat pretty much.

Yep. The point I was making is that you can't even get into the school without the experience. But you can't get experience without the schooling.. unless you know someone willing to teach you and sponsor you who is a licensed mechanic.
