No idea what I wanted as a kid, science sounded fun. Just kept getting better and better at stuff and I'm living happy with a steady paying white collar science job. I'm a fan of the "So good they can't ignore you" approach and save the hobbies for my free time.
I wanted to be an auto mechanic. It's a lot harder to break into the field than it sounds. There are 2 mechanic programs around here but you have to already work as a mechanic or be sponsored by a dealership to get accepted into the program. But, nobody will take you in unless you know what you are doing. So, pretty much, it sounds like you have to grow up with a family member who is a mechanic to get into it. Or maybe the military? My current profession is IT related.

Actually became: Accounting/Auditing role
I'm still not sure what I'll be when I grow up..But I need to find something a bit more fun.
