Cheers! Good post. I put people like praying Medic and x22 as examples.

Whatever happened to the thousands of kids that were rescued from tunnels under central park?

And I'm not even saying you can't posit the whole "kids in tunnels thing" as a possibility. State the evidence as to why you believe it "may" be the case.

But that's very different than saying "they're totally rescuing kids from underground cities" as if it's a foregone conclusion.

I don't think PM is as big of an offender, but the x22 guy is off the rails when it comes to this.

Why not just be committed to Truth, whether it is from us or them? Why divide it?

In theory yeah I agree.

But to answer the question "why divide"...

I'm not dividing so much as talking to a specific audience.

I'm not going to waste my time telling left wingers that they should be "committed to truth" because they're actively committed to lies on purpose. Therefore, waste of my time.

What I see on my side is more well meaning people who just trust and spread information without consideration of the possibility that it might not be factual.

One side really does want to be truthful, the other side could care less.

I'm talking to the people with good intentions and not so good practices. By definition, that excludes left wingers.
