Plus a monthly fee with programmed obsolesce. Think of the rental fee as an idiot tax so the vapid consumers have something to bitch about.
I bet some games can get $100 plus monthly fees. Fucking gamers are no better junkies and deserve to be exploited.

Then i'll sit back and watch as the industry takes a shit, becomes shit, and fucking burns to the ground.

They're already in the burning phase.

Never paid that much for a video game in my entire life and don't intend to start.

Look at the destruction of the dollar, complete fuckery that always leads back to shit like the federal reserve. $70 isn't what it was worth 20 years ago, let alone further back.

One or two titles a generation are worth $70. That's the problem with this analyst, can guarantee it is about how the question was asked. Looking at purely Sony exclusives, at least on release. Bloodborne is worth it. Cuckman's no fun, "subvert expectations" Last of Us 2 is not. Not one Western dev Sony exclusive is worth it.

You guys forgetting Super Mario 64, Turak Dinosaur Hunter, and Pilot Wings 64 all launched at a retail price of $69.99?

Then again, back then you got a physical cartridge.

This, 70 a game is actually artificially low when you factor in inflation.
