A good dehumidifier can easily pull a gallon of water out of the air a day in many climates. I was shocked when I first moved to an area that we needed to use one in the warm months.

Yes but dehumidifiers are:

A) One of the least energy efficient ways of generating potable water

2) Only as effective as the amount of water in the air at the time

So they would work really well in already wet or humid climates, but at that point it's probably raining, so you can just put a barrel under your downspout and collect rain water for free + the cost of filter material (Cheap)

Looks like africa is fucked lol

Desalination at scale and speed is the tricky part... But even that isn't so bad.

These are the same fucktards who claim overpopulation but never looked out the window during an entire flight.

The middle east has much experience building large scale desalination plants.

Agree on the overpopulating part too, but improvements are needed to the current building model and mentality, we can do much better regarding housing and infrastructure, with innovation. Build more horizontal farming facilities, or on mountain slopes and extend those deeper into the ground, since maybe it is essential for crop to be connected to earth's pulse (Schuman resonance).

Cities can also be built with more horizantal building and with integrating nature into them, so that we leave more space to nature and animals than we do now.

Freeze it. Works better, takes less energy to drop temp to 30 degrees than to raise it to 212. Cant remember off hand if the salt floats or sinks due to the density. There's a sweet spot though.
