I probably place too much faith in the safety of these things. My parents have a friend who was badly injured on a zipline kind of thing about a month ago. It was during a shore excursion while she was on a cruise. I don't understand all the details, but she fell about 25 feet and messed up her feet, legs, and back pretty badly. The worst part is that since she was in the middle of nowhere in the Caribbean, she had to be flown to Florida to receive decent medical care. I understand the cruise line is paying 100% of her medical bills.
