Aside from the low ultra-violet thing, as a youngster i was fascinated with the x-ray specs ad's on the back of various kids magazines, knowing in the back of my mind they were probably totally bogus. But come full circle and not only phone apps but legit TSA airport security machines etc that do that very thing ....

and chinese phone manufacterers were recently banned for putting out phones with that function built in.
if people think wearing a facemask stops them being identified they should probably stay indoors.
