Stars and Stripes only had ONE ARTICLE in history that was provocative, fascinating, and valuable...
PLASMA rifle bolts (rail guns? hypersonic javelin mach 5? russian unknown? FF unknown?) cutting through 4 inches of Tank steel and wounding USA crews in the 1990s!!!! Forensic evidence of tiny holes
https://yorkshire-ranter.blogspot.com/2003/11/how-did-iraqis-do-it-mystery-weapon.html
And though I have no link, Stars and Stripes revealed that secret weapon aftermath report!!!!

I served for 11 years as a grunt and I can tell you Stars and strips was never read. We despised that sorry excuse for a news paper. In fact I used it as shit paper when they handed it out to us in the field.

8 years infantry here. Youβre right, Iβve only ever seen Stars and Stripes in lonely corners near the exits of commissaries. Nobody ever grabbed any; if Joe ever decided to read, heβd grab an Army Times on the way out of a shoppette, after of course grabbing an armful of Rip-Its and dip
