@exisredditus @ForksandGuys @Typo

This article isn't recent (from May).

I've let stuff from 2015 stay because the time frame hasn't been firmly established. I made a thread in /v/NewsMods to discuss the issue. Thanks though.

No problem.

I also made a comment on your post a few minutes ago, suggesting "recent" be defined :)

Thanks!

Whoops - My bad. I didn't see the article date; It just popped up on my local feed today, and I hadn't heard of it until I read it. I'll be sure to start checking the date on original articles and not just the local posting dates.

Do people actually use yelp? The only thing I've ever even looked at it for was to find the hours of stores/restaurants.

It's pretty handy for finding businesses close by.

Yes. I just moved to a new state and don't know a lot of local businesses so I look on there for recommendations.

Yeah, if you happen to travel to a different country, city, town... etc without careful planning (business trip, layover, on the run from assassins... etc), chances are you will have to use Google to search for something nearby and the top results are most likely from TripAdvisor or Yelp. Google could acquire it and make it a permanent feature for a "Travel Search" option.

I like the hyper-local news angle they push. Everyblock had something similar going, but choked. Wish one would take off, especially if it weren't limited to certain metro areas.

I'll sell you my broken down Honda Accord for half of that!
