If the intention behind this effort is to induce me to feel sympathy for the illegal migrants, or to think that they should be handed money, houses and UK passports, then I have to say that I remain absolutely unmoved. All we have here are photographic images of a collection of people who have declined to claim asylum in countries where domestic and international law requires them to do so, and who have chosen to associate together in squalor with the common purpose of entering the United Kingdom without any legal basis or legal justification. These people have no business in the United Kingdom whatsoever, and, so far as I am concerned, if they choose to live a camp then that is down to their free choice; and if they end up getting killed when they attempt to storm through lawful barriers and barricades, or to board cars, lorries and trains unlawfully, then they die through their own folly and criminal recklessness. No right-thinking person should view this nonsense in any other way.

ugly huh. unfortunately many privileged folks cannot comprehend the life that some immigrants go through. it's very easy to criticize from a comfy chair, with electricity, running water and knowing that you can walk the streets at night in safety. whilst i understand these people are willingly risking their life, i also understand that someone who is so desperate to leave their home that they will risk death, is in dire need of help. maybe the person that made the comment is forgetting that the luxury he enjoys in the united kingdom comes at the cost of the billions of poor in the developing nations. without the cheap labour and resources provided by poorer countries (mostly war-torn nations), they would not have the car, the smartphone, the laptop and cheap energy. misguided fools.
