Think I’ve only had one malfunction with m183 out of several thousand rounds
I sold my AR and bought an AK. Never saw a malfunction again.
Later found out this is par for the course among AK owners-to shoot the thing for years, and have zero malfunctions of any kind.

That’s definitely true. I probably need to start working on AR malfunctions. Pistol seems way easier when tap, rack, bang takes care of almost everything. Strip the mag if it doesn’t. I wonder if there is a similar algorithm for rifle.

It is. Here is a good article. Basically you tap rack bang, and if that fails, you should probably have a sidearm to transition to because then you have to finger the magwell. You should throw in a forward assist tap after the tap rack though just in case something is preventing the bolt from seating.
