It is a slave mentality that people are excited when the courts actually obey the rule of law.

Huge win for ca. Don’t effect me none. I have my Magazines from the army that they don’t know about.

The Court said in its opinion that it was “keenly aware” of gun violence and the tragedies therein, and the decision has nothing to say about “issues not before us,” such as “assault weapons” bans.

Watch them just ban semi-autos lol.

Axshully, the 9th just made it harder to keep their ban on assault weapons. "... commonly used (a common item) ... for lawful purposes ..." was the stated bar. The court apparently acknowledged that the mag law bans about half of all the magazines in the country from being purchased in California.

Reactionaries agree: the 9th court's decision is now legit.

This was strategic, had they declined it would have gone to the Supreme court, and a SC verdict would permanently end their ability to limit magazine capacities, thus they cast the law down to retry it in the future.
