My cat's 14 and still going strong, but I'm going to be devastated when he passes.

i believe most of us know the pain of losing a member of our fur family.
prayers of peace for you brother. no more pain or suffering for your friend is the only way i get through this. i just put down my 17 y/o cat a few weeks ago. had her since she was a kitten. i think of her often but with peace that she's not hurting any more.

Patriot, they may not add years to your life, but they sure add life to your years.

I have lost a good woman through divorce and a good pup has passed on me.I will admit that the loss of the bitch bruised my soul, while the other one just cost me time and money. The pup I had to replace within weeks and has helped to fill the house the last decade as I have so far been happily single. Take your time brother, but I do recommend you get another pup as soon as your heart will allow. You need a companion for those long walks in the moonlight, your old one would not want you to be alone.
