2020-08-09 | Lebanese government in crisis as ministers resign after blast - The Washington Post

'The blast left a city that was plunged into poverty by last year’s economic collapse struggling to repair shattered homes and businesses. ', "In an indictment of Lebanon's government, Macron has indicated assistance should go directly to the Lebanese people."

'Barsa told reporters Sunday the assistance will not go through the Lebanese government, which has been the subject of protests condemning corruption. '

'Nor will it go through the World Health Organization, from which the Trump administration has said it will withdraw. '

'Trump reaffirmed that the United States is "ready and willing" to continue providing aid to the people of Lebanon, but no new U.S. assistance was announced Sunday. '

Is this yet another deep state slush fund creation in the making? Anything the French president is involved in is highly suspect. They say the damage could be 15B, but I don't think that entire country is worth that much.
