Because the curiosity of the people has been so effectively subverted that I guess "men's rights activist" is enough to deflect and bury.

I wouldn't have heard anything about this if not for being a Voat regular. I didn't see a damn thing about it in the UK media.

I'm curious. What is the racial distribution of UK news media leadership/ownership?

Ownership is tricky to pinpoint by the looks of things. The BBC is the biggest and most visited source for news but that's in the hands of the government. There are organizations that control one or more outlets for news, for example: one TV news station and two or three newspapers etc. There are some Jewish figures present; Rupert Murdoch as well, and wealthy aristocrats also. Disappointingly, the third most visited source for news, according to a report I found, was Facebook, and 16-24 year olds main source is Facebook and Twitter as well. I'd have to look into it for much longer to really get a hold on it by the looks of things as there are a few organizations (I noted 13 main groups that have control over various outlets, for example), and each of these has 40% stake by one entity, 20% another and so on. Obviously all of those get their say, some more than others.

I haven't got a clue but I could have a quick look for you and see what I find. I'll get back to you on that.

You know I wouldn't have minded if a comma or two had been thrown into the mix.

It depends. Maybe he's informing the reader that they know he wouldn't have minded, as in "you know the sun is hot."
