2020-07-20 | Uber's new COVID-19 tracking portal shares data on riders and drivers with public health officials | Daily Mail Online

'Using the new portal, designed for exclusive use by public health departments, data can be sought based on trip receipts or passenger names. ', "This means that if a person tests positive for COVID-19, health officials can use Uber's database to see other people they may have come in contact with."

'Uber has quietly launched a service to give public health officials quick access to data on drivers and riders presumed to have come into contact with someone infected with COVID-19. '

'Health officials are prompted to specify what action they want Uber to take as part of the service. '

'It first began to focus on health-related issues in 2019, when a resurgence of U.S. measles cases prompted several health departments to request data, the officials said. '

The odds of your Uber ever having someone who ever had COVID-19 is pretty high. So you're almost guaranteed to get "contact traced" and forced to do a brain swab?

That's assuming they don't simply make up the numbers. With programs, you can make just about any number you want. It's super easy. In fact, it's so easy that getting the correct numbers in a program is more difficult than just making shit up. And we all know the quality of diversity hire programmers.
