Kudzu, pueraria root, grows wild all over the Southeast. It's name in China is Ge Gen, and it is very effective against sinus infections AND cravings for alcohol when the powder is taking by mouth, Do not snort it!

It's also cool for building forts and landing in after jumping your bicycle off the water tower hill (as long as it's thick enough)! Growing up in the mountains of NC, half my body weight was ticks and chiggers.
