I guess that I don't see any of what's going on as playing games. The stakes have never been higher.
Local politicians, not POTUS, need to let local police respond, or they need to ask for help. Recently, in other countries (Ukraine comes to mind) when the federal police show up to quell protests, previously positioned deep state snipers take out some protesters and police. The resulting backlash eventually brings down the current regime. Our deep state is certainly not above sacrificing a few BLMers in order to paint POTUS as a killer. Now I'm with you in that many of our homegrown rioters deserve to be martyred, but the Q team can only get so close to the edge before going over.
I would love to see masks condemned, it would give lots of folks hope, but Orange-man doing the condemning would result in half the country doubling down on the diapers. I think we are currently winning this battle. I traveled through three states over the 4th, two of them with mandatory mask orders -- at rest areas, gas stations, hotels, and outdoor restaurants much fewer than half of the people were masked. Many employees didn't wear one, or had it wrapped around their chin. We can win this battle all by ourselves through non-consent, just like the Great Fireworks Revolution. People know what's going on in other states, they see patriots refusing to comply and they begin to doubt, or to find courage. Trump telling them that their masks only serve to out them as useful idiots would douse any flicker of independence.
Arresting those on one's enemy list gives off a whiff of Stalin to at least one side of the debate. I'm as impatient as the next Anon, but don't see how arrests can happen in a democracy without the backing of a sizable majority.
