But steel/metal has more splatter, so you need a carrier that has good kev with anti fragmentation. Doesn't much matter the plate stopped the round if the splatter sends fragments flying into your jugular.
Good point. Anything is better than a stick in the eye. Especially in that situation. You have a preferred all around rifle round? I went with the 556/223 combo but, I am starting to think I need to beef up to the 308 or some such. Also went for 9mm for side arm. I know there is better stopping power but, I like the additional rounds.

Like I said if youre in a situation where you need body armor and even worse where rounds are flying at you... I'll take that chance.
