Are you serious? Holy shit! I bought mine for $15 on craigslist. Great speakers and I really like the fact that there are vintage. I would never pay $110 for shipping anything though!

I still use old Logitech Z5300s. 5.1 surround and sound really damn good.

I bought a second set before they closed out, which are happily sitting in storage in a box.

An old review from Toms... https://www.tomsguide.com/us/high,review-212-15.html

What was the last thing you had? A radio from the 1940's? HAHAHAHA. Modern speakers are like double the price and 10x better.

I've owned a lot of new Logitech PC speakers and I can promise you these Advent sound better than anything you could buy for $150. Maybe even $200. Don't get me wrong Logitech makes great speakers but Advent were very high-end highly renowned speakers. Often times if you buy something a decade-old but absolute top of the line it will still be much better than entry level new versions and you will pay one tenth of the price. It's a great secret to buying.

I bet the $10 bluetooth one my cousin bought at walmart is equal to those... I asked him expecting like 40 or 50 and he said he grabbed it from the checkout aisle.

I sincerely doubt that. Speaker quality peaked a very long time ago and manufacturers went with cheaper shit since they had roughly the same sound output but much less durability (read: WE WANT NEW SALES).

Typically a new entry to the market will use the quality builds and later revisions will be the cheaper shit (especially brand names).

My cousin bought a $10 bluetooth speaker from the checkout aisle at walmart and that shit is LOUD... like you can hear everything from across the house.
