I want to see the funniest and most ridiculous things voaters say. What better way to shit on SRS than to turn their name from one of hate to one of community.

But you're missing the point. I didn't take this to shit on anyone. As I said. I just wanted to make something known for being bad into something good. Going out of our way to piss someone else off...what would be the point of that?

I'm not saying to piss someone off... I want to see this become a community pillar. It's gonna be hard, trust me, I know.

I don't really care what content is here, as long as it isn't censored and the sub isn't modded by SJWs.

Don't SJWs deserve somewhere to have their say, too?

Yes, it's called Reddit.

If they're ready for the down votes, sure.

I got downvoted for saying I didn't want to be raped by a muslim.

No. SJWs have Reddit and Tumblr. They don't get a forum for their heinous bullshit everywhere they are drug in on the bottom of someone's shoe.

Under absolutely no circumstances, no matter how strenuous, should it:

  • Have any basis in identity politics
  • Have any political purpose
  • Censor or suppress posts that do not conform to a political or social narrative
  • Be moderated by a person who is more interested in bravely striking down our illusions of Phantom SJWs™ (a phrase that rarely fails to appear in any of his or her posts), and generally politicized delusions of grandeur, than in unbiased and user-driven moderation. Whether such a user is named /u/SpaceRosa or not, so long as that behavior is not the result.

It should absolutely always:

  • Encourage unforced posting and discussion
  • Highlight positive, high-quality, and amusing contributions from around Voat, even funposting
  • Encourage good-faith behavior within and without
  • Have the best form of moderation: user-driven and minimal, where moderators exist to serve the interests of the community, not curate. Whether or not that user is /u/SpaceRosa should not matter, as long as that behavior is the practical result.

What you need is more people, simply put.

I created /v/thatHappened to be the voat-alternative to the reddit sub(which I happen to think is a very good sub). It gets very few submissions and I tend to think it's because people would rather stick to their home base on reddit.

Still, be patient with Voat. Give it some time. The reddit admins have proven they cannot stop digging their own graves, so let e'm dig... and let Voat grow.

How about noteworthy shit voaters say? Things you would guild if you could. Could be for amazingly sourced comments, hilarious 1 liners, or whatever makes the comment worth sharing.

It's currently for "good" comments. What is "good" is usually up to the poster, so those would be fine to post anyway. I made it fairly loosely defined here so that, hopefully, there wouldn't be a shortage of potential material.

If you decide you don't want it, I would take that sub up for you and be the boogeyman

Let it be the most outrageous items from all camps and then let the commenters sort it out. The mod(s) should just stay on the sideline to keep it legal (in the sense of laws and Voat rules).

That's true, but I thought it's had enough time to have at least some posts, which have not appeared. I think people just prefer it out of the hands of their phantom SJWs.
