I won't miss them.

Wonder if Valve will buckle though. Seems to be the thing to do these days.

(and BLM is a lie. Fuck the media for spreading it)

"Developers"... "Games"... there's a single game named - "First Winter" - literally nothing was lost because literally nobody ever heard of this game.

Whats even funnier is the game is still available on steam. Pathetic lmao.

Good riddance. Steam needs a big clean-up anyway.

OK. I wonder if this developer could inform me as to how overwhelmingly white the developer culture is?

So basically, Valve did the smart thing by saying absolutely nothing that wasn't related to their games or game development, and a few no name independent game developers withdrew their games from the steam platform as some deluded form of protest? That is freaking AWESOME!

No I think we’ve heard enough. When sports open back up I have a feeling many more are going to be vocal about that sentiment too.

There's still plenty of faggots selling their pozzed shit on Steam believe me. I got burned with The Long Dark, though to be fair I bought that game years ago.

Anyone play Dwarf Fortress here? Well part of the money he makes from his Steam sales (when it comes out) is also going to BLM and the like. Here's a statement from Toady who as it turns out is a massive homo.

06/01/2020 Toady One Here's the monthly report, and the Future of the Fortress. Sorry for the outages over the last few days. Our site and the Dwarf Fortress File Depot may still be on and offline a bit while we migrate to a new hosting company.

Toady One Threetoe While the protests against the murder of George Floyd and police brutality, and the ensuing police riot, continue in this country, we don't want to be silent, nor do we want to make a generic brand statement. So, specifically, we support efforts to defund the police, as well as those to minimize and abolish incarceration. No amount of protection afforded to white people is worth the horror we continue to perpetuate in this country against millions in marginalized communities. Black lives matter.

It's likely those of you that want to contribute to relevant funds have located some already. We've given to Rebuild Lake Street, the BLM Seattle Freedom Fund, and Reclaim the Block. Minnesota Freedom Fund will be linking additional organizations as well.

I'm done buying new shit because half of these guys are screeching leftists. I wish all of these faggots would take their crap off Steam so I know the devs who remain there are OK.

Hinterlands statement stung me too. Their support of Project Trees was on brand, then then they did a thing for Covid that was funneling money to the WHO.

I've had Long Dark long enough that I had already taken the game out of my rotation of play before they came out with Story mode. It's actually been one of my main games for the last few months doing runs for various achievements and badges. Before this was strongly endorsing the game and was considering buying a branded outdoor coffee mug.

It doesn't matter, I'm boycotting games entirely and I was a gamer for longer than most of you have been alive.

That sounds like a major move. Can you go into it a little bit more here

I refuse to upgrade to mess that is windows 10. I hate all the SJW bullshit, the bean counters and just how shitty the industry is in general. It no longer has entertainment value to me with these overriding factors. I have simply moved on to other hobbies and they are infinitely more fulfilling in contrast.

There was a time, I'd be angry about it enough to come whinge online about it, but now I couldn't care less about it. This sub is only here to remind me of my better choices and why I made them over gaming.

Gaming left me, so I left gaming.
