But the output resolution of a system and the recorded resolution of a given camera are not the same thing.
For instance, you can have a camera recording at 4K, but you can also have the DVR/NVR displaying on an 800x600 monitor resolution.
Yes, the pixels you are viewing may be squashed on the monitor, but the footage is recorded and analyzed in 4K.
Here is a scenario. American browsing Chinese tech market - sees camera system in store display with monitor that is capturing faces.
American man: "That's neat, too bad it's in Chinese because I want to buy one!"
Chinese salesman: "Hold on" clicks "Device can also in English".
American: "Oh cool!" whips out phone to record
Yes, it could be real. This is what budget facial recognition looks like.

Well if it's super high res, and including maybe even stereo vision and possibly other 3d imagers, then maybe. It's certainly getting closer.

Yeah I'm more willing to believe that this is some jr. Spec system being sold in a market somewhere for cheap homeþbusiness solution.
Knowing Chinese advertising though, this could just be a gif yang made to promote an item that doesnt actually perform.
