Give it a year and everyone will be expected to nod and agree that the reasons looted areas now have such shit infrastructure and businesses is solely because of the incredible racism of those institutions. No other reason will be acceptable, understanding cause and effect is wrongthink.

It will be interesting if stores like walmart, target, walgreens and such move out.

Small business could possibly rise up and fill the hole.

It will never happen though. There's too much money for walmart and walgreens to lose if they lose a major market like Chicago.
Just watch, they are going to rebuild and operate normally again, only this time, the local residents will pay for it in the form of price hikes.

When Hurricane Tyrone can form at any time of year and as many times per year as the media masters decide, how can a business calculate their risk and offset it? Presumably they also have high inventory loss and security costs even without hurricane Tyrone popping up.
