I used too hate the Beretta M9, which is similar. I shot a few of them, and they kicked like a 40, and shot like shit. Then very recently, I got to fire a buddie's, which was maintained, and had less then a few hundred rounds.

Shot great. Felt great. Didn't kick like a retard. Blew my mind. Good for you, BTW

I bet a dollar the recoil spring was way past being replacement.

Consider in was service M9's, you are most likely correct.

I’ve seen good things from the reviews I watched before buying. I’ll make sure to maintain it, which I will also need to learn a bit about how to do properly.

You picked a hell of a gun for your first one. I always liked Berreta and I've been shooting the great grandfather of your gun (The m1951) lately. For a 70 year old pistol that sat in Italian surplus rusting away, it still shoots great. You can't beat an all steel gun ssometimes. ENJOY YOUR NEW GUN AND WATCH OUT FOR NIGGERS!

Haha thanks! I figured if I was going to get one I’d get one I really want and spend the money since I probably wouldn’t be getting another on my budget for a bit. My next purchase will be a rifle likely but aways down the line. Can’t wait for that either!

Guns are the one thing that "you get what you pay for" applies to still. Take my advice and spend as much as your budget allows you.

Nice, today i bought another gun also.

Am sure gun sales will be smashing all sales records from any point in past.

Heres what i got. Had never heard of this company, but researched before i even put it in my hand, and it was a perfect fit in my hand. Two weeks, will be bringing home!

Very cool, dude. Beretta makes some very nice stuff.

You need 1000rds minimum.

Thanks! I’ve been in love with their designs ever since I was a kid. This is a dream come true for me. And I will for sure be buying a ton of ammunition. I never realized how cheap it was. Any recommendations as far as a brand goes? I’m still learning and unsure of what’s what.

Right now you need a bunch of cheap practice ammo. I assume 9mm. You want a bunch of 115gr stuff. Check here.

If you want to have it ready for self-defense, I recommend Hornady Critical Duty, but there are many good choices.

My first was a CZ P-01. Like a dummy, I sold it in need of money. I want that one back. Good little shooter.

Oof. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully I don’t find myself in need of doing that.
