It depends, I have carried before and I still do sometimes, but in things like libraries, things in my city are so bad here that they do frisking before you can enter. Also the law here for self defense means that if I use a knife when attacked, and say I were to hurt someone, since the carry is illegal in the first place, it might leave me severely disadvantaged in a legal case. I might be wrong though as I am not a lawyer and I haven't done enough research on local self defense laws.

Damn. I’m sure you are correct about the legal point, it is like that in Canada. “Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6”. Depends on the situation, might apply. Getting frisked to go into a library... Our society is so fucked man holy smokes.

It's not just frisking they have metal detectors and shit, same procedure as when entering an airport. I hope it's not as fucked in the USA but I imagine in the big cities it is.
