For the last 20+ years I've heard my dad use the term, "the dumbing down of America". He's an avid "news" watcher...thinks he really knows what's going on in the world. Reads the newspaper every morning. A couple years ago, I tried to educate him on the Russia hack, Seth Rich, Gen. Flynn, FISA abuses, etc....but it went in one ear and out the other. He had no idea what I was talking about. He doesn't realize yet that HE'S the one that's been dumbed down. How do you wake a 72-year-old from this trance? I'm not calling him dumb, he's a smart guy...and a Vietnam vet (ASA even). But he doesn't realize just how badly he's been duped by the television and newspapers.

Willful ignorance is a birth right. Just like voluntary enslavement is a right that all adults gain enough experience to avoid. Children are born into slavery, the goal is to raise them to earn their own bloody freedom. With possible (or probable) enslavement as motivation to remain free.

And they don't have to care because they're so educated that they automatically occupy the moral and intellectual high ground so why should the have to bother with these inconvenient facts in a post truth world?
