For the last 5 years I did not possess a car. I traveled by air at least every 6 months. I will never travel by plane again. I just bought a 2005 used car that doesn't have GPS built into it, to my knowledge (unless someone can correct me here). I knew I would need it. Now I know why.

I think I got lucky. Carfax reports galore with impeccable maintenance record. 148k miles and probably paid too much but it is in great shape. My last car probably ever.

I have a feeling cars and planes will be obsolete shortly. Space Force! Telekinetic abilities. We've got a lot to look forward to. The best is yet to come!

I agree but maybe not in my life time. I'm in my late 60's.

If these loons implement this insanity, then the airline industry will be dead FOREVER! It's bad enough that airlines are bleeding billions of dollars of month being required by the CARES Act to fly mostly empty planes all overt the world, but if they put a "Big Brother" roadblock like THIS in front of potential returning airline passengers then it's game over. The airlines will all go under and there won't even BE any more airline travel in the future, except by the mega wealthy with their own jets and people who can afford pricey charter flights.

That might be the whole idea.

I remember driving out to the airport, walking across the parking lot to the terminal, handing my suitcase to the gate agent and showing my ticket, then boarding the plane. Life was simpler before these "elites" got full of themselves.

Yeah, it makes one nostalgic for "the good old days" doesn't it? Life didn't used to be so horrifying and wicked and dangerous - or maybe the evil ones were better hidden and less brazen than they are today.

I already don't fly anymore due to the TSA, so it won't affect me.

Me, me, me. What about the other 2.5 million air passengers average per day not hiding under a rock?

They have to make up their own minds about how to deal with it. Take some self-responsibility.

This reminds me of the social scores in China, and if you're not good, you don't get access to travel or credit etc.

First thought: Oh shit. I'm never gonna pass the immunity test with this cancer.

Since you mention it. Let's hook up offline and you can show me where the bad TSA put hands on you.

I had that happen to me in an American airport and I was in a wheelchair. They forced me to stand up out of the chair so the female (northern European) could frisk me while I had to straddle my legs apart. I have a broken back. I should sue but did not write their info down. When I protested the male black guy standing right there too, gave me that "I'm going to kill you if you protest anymore" look.

so glad I have all my travel done. I have been where I wanted to go, I don't have any more countries left on my bucket list. It wouldn't matter anyway, as Europe is mostly gone, Asia is more dangerous now than ever, and who wants to go to Canada while MissFidelTrudeau is PM?

I was going to go for that Travel ID, now I'm not. fuck them all. If I have to move to another country, I'll sneak into mexico and go from there.
