Yeah London was pretty disappointing for me to. It seems like there aren't any English people that live in the city. Just didn't feel like England.

What did you do there? I love London personally, the boat/bus tours are fantastic and there's so many historic places you can visit. I guess it's not for everyone.

The entire Caribbean is a filthy disgusting shit hole. If you want that experience without rivers of shit and mountains of trash everywhere, go to Costa Rica.

Costa Rica is nice, and you don't even have to exchange currencies (if you're an Ameribro)

I went to Panama city last year, and there was also garbage all over the streets. I saw garbage men, so wtf. Bags and bags of trash everywhere.

I hear Aruba is like that as well.

I visited St, Martin/St. Maarten and it was much nicer than most other islands in the Caribbean I have been to. Spent a week there and had a car rental. 4 days on the French side and 3 days on the Dutch side.

Otherwise, I'm with you on description.

The most worthwhile part of the Grand Canyon is the canyon itself. If you ever get the chance to, I recommend hiking rim to rim throughout the canyon. It's an entirely different experience from just walking around the top.

Gatlinburg, TN. The Smokey Mountain National Park was nice but the town is just a cesspool of kitsch (not the good kind), and screaming, wild kids.

Also, every other building is a flapjack restaurant for some reason.

I just got back from there a week ago. It can be a really cool trip or it can suck. White water rafting, tubing, free moonshine tasting, big ass cabins, and the Ripley's aquarium were all pretty awesome!

Pigeon Forge was awful, traffic was crazy, fat people and fat children were everywhere, no one had all their teeth, and there were a mind blowing number of confederate flags on the backs of trucks.

I had a blast though. I would absolutely do it again.

Oh great. That's the last thing I needed to hear. My girlfriend wants us to take a weekend trip to Pigeon Forge for her bday.

Circus Maximus in Rome - it's just a field now and we didn't even know we were there and walked around for 1 hour looking for it while we were in it.

And, while we're on the topic of Rome, while I'm glad I went and I've been there I wouldn't go back again. Dirty, crowded, and a city living in the skeleton of the past and in the shadow of the Vatican. There are so many other areas in Italy that are alive with culture and art, Florence is a good example. If your planning a trip to Italy don't load too much of your time in Rome, unless you're very religious.

We had Florence as a stop over between Rome and Venice and didn't expect to enjoy it as much as we did. Florence is a beautiful city and a must visit. Venice, well, that's just a no brainer!

Really? I was fascinated by the history in Rome. You couldn't walk three blocks without seeing some awesome buildings or relics.

The graffiti was surprising though.

New York. It's a dirty, loud, crowded city with an even larger, dirtier metropolis around it. There's so little to interest a person such as myself there, I'll gladly leave NYC to the Wall St people

I was sitting work and realized it was a 3 day weekend. Not wanting to do what I always do (hangout with friends and do nothing) I decided to do something I always wanted to do and never did. Hopped in my car after work, drove to Mohegan Sun. Did some light gambling and just tried to have fun (talk to people, eat, make weird bets). Went to bed at a hotel down the street and had a great sleep. Woke up around 8 or 9, hopped in the car and drove to NYC.

Posted on the NYC Reddit board and looked for someone to hangout with. Went to Chinatown Fair Arcade and played my favorite games while talking to random people. Walked around Chinatown and ate random bakeries and cafes. Went to a toy shop that had a ton of celebrity, gaming, and anime figures and got some gifts. Got a message from someone at Reddit and hopped on the train to meet up with them.

They brought me into random stores and I saw pretty cool shit. A Macy's the size of a mall for example. Then they brought me to a bunch of cool anime and comic shops. Also some random bookstores. Ate some cool food. Watched standup. Went to Barcade for more drinking and games. Fell asleep on a couch somewhere. Took the train back to my car and drove back home.

I loved NY and want to go back.

I'm a New Yorker myself. I will agree that our city is shitty dirty and loud. Nothing good really surrounds it. I'm leaving NY and never coming back
