Yesterday I participated in a non partisan 2 hour protest type gathering to "open our county" in our small town in WA State.
Around 100 participants with signs and flags at a 4 way light in a busy part of town on a beautiful sunny day. A few wore masks, most did not. The organizers asked everyone who were not family members to stay about 6 feet apart, along sidewalks on both sides of the street. Most signs said "Open us Up" or "Let everyone Work", a few talked about Tyranny and the Constitution. No pro Trump or con Inslee - very non political.
Most cars going thru the intersection beeped or gave thumbs up for support, but several things really shocked me (and they shouldn't have, I guess). At least 40 cars drove by with angry looking, mask wearing people who were alone in their car with windows rolled up. About 20 were shaking their heads and pointing to their masks.
A few people gave thumbs down. 26 people in cars actually flipped us off, several double handed!I know the exact number because a boy around 11 there with his mom, actually tallied them on the back of his "Tired of Fortnite, I want to play Little League" sign.
Crazy - did not realize there were so many angry middle aged women in town. Of those giving thumbs down or flipping off - only two were men.
Anyway, more contact with others than I have had in months and I have to conclude, I haven't missed much.

I am not surprised at this fact about middle age women. Think about who supports Hillary. It seems ever since POTUS was elected, this particular group, women, have a higher than average rate of TDS. I am not finding it among males as much as females. To me, and I'm a free thinking female, it shows that too many women think with their emotions instead of logic and facts. FYI on the Myers-Briggs I come out as a "thinker and judger" LOL

LOL - not sure where I would come out on that. In my head, I know that a lot of women supported Hillary. Our county has had less than 30 COVID cases and Zero deaths. To see these women so angry and blatantly disrespectful to their neighbors who are out of work and the effects it has had on our town really threw me.
It's true. Take the game of chess for example. Way back when, the chess championships were open to men and women. No women would progress through the tournament far enough to compete for the championship. So they created a woman's division back in the 50's...... And we all know why. Emotions. It is what it is.
I hear you, qanon1776. I used to live in Lewis County, Chealis/Centralia area, Wa. I remember in 1996 I was with my wife and my brother and his wife, along with many others, protesting Bill Clinton as he arrived downtown Centralia to give his campaign speech. They kept us and every other protesters a few blocks away from downtown, they wouldn’t allow us immediate access because of anti-Clinton signs which was something only democrats could get away with. But I remember how nasty many democrats were that passed us on their way to hear Clinton. The rudest and nastiest were mainly the women and some old men that were still stuck in the 50s believing the democrats were still the same party.

My son is friends with the sheriffs son. We dropped a bday present off for the kid and the sheriff invited me in we talked for an hour. COVID is real the hysteria behind it is fake. Frontpage of reddit yesterday was about 3 people dying after going to church in march. Turns out they were all really old like 90+. The common cold will kill them at that age.
