Exactly. The police and DA saw and sat on the video, and did nothing for months, until someone leaked the video and there was a public outcry.
Only then did they lose their protection.
As opposed to OP's case where the murderers were arrested as soon as they were found.
The outcry isn't about the murder (he was murdered a while ago, nothing happened for months) - it's about the protection the killers got (that was revealed in the leak)

What protection? It's a tricky case with a lot of conflict of interest, and everyone will eventually face justice. Let it go.

It really isn't. There's video evidence + the 911 call. If they were black it's be a slam dunk case.
Once the GBI got involved, they were arrested withing a day after months of nothing at all - it's an extremely simple case.

So it can be swept under the rug again and they are released? We already saw what happens when there's no outcry in this case. - nothing
