Wait, you mean it's not Kim K's traumatized younger sisters anymore? Shit, I must be getting old.

I noticed something about 15 years ago. If you look at the headlines in the tabloids at the supermarket check out line, they always refer to these celebrities by their first names. It's like they are trying to get the reader to identify with these people on a first name basis. I am amazed at how many if these people I have absolutely no clue who they are or what they are "famous" for.

Unless you read people magazine or some such shit, most people don't give a damn about the miscreants and mongrels the dailymail promotes.

On the internet we choose our own celebrities. Frank Ramsey instead of Gordon Ramsey. Paul J. Cohen instead of Leonard Cohen. Littlewood and Hardy instead of Laurel and Hardy. Paris Harrington instead of Paris Hilton. David Moon (of X3J13) instead of Keith Moon (of The Who)

We gave up our tv about 10 years ago and have no clue who current 'celebrities' are (or what movies have come out in all that time). We only hear of popular culture stuff like that from voat or a couple of other sites. It's great.

I heard about the movie Dragged Across Concrete on voat so we went to the theater to see that because it sounded good and we like Mel. Can't remember the last time we saw a movie before that lol.
