Except that’s not the “true” mortality rate because the true mortality rate is 0.

“Covid deaths” are intentionally fraudulent mislabelings of other illnesses.

A highly contagious flu that large portions of the world have already cast off

Yeah it's hypercontagious but not that deadly. There are at-risk populations (aging boomers mostly) but most of us are safe.

The overreaction was planned.

Highlights:

A UPMC doctor on Thursday made a case the death rate for people infected with the new coronavirus may be as low as 0.25% — far lower than the mortality rates of 2-4% or even higher cited in the early days of the pandemic.

The studies found that 5-20% of people had been exposed to the coronavirus, with many noticing only mild illness or none at all, he said.

“We’ve learned that way more people, far, far more people have actually been exposed to the infection without any knowledge of it. That makes the overall death rate much lower,” said Yealy

Yealy further said the majority of the deaths among UPMC patients involved people over 80, with many being nursing home residents.

Yealy said he “would not think of it as more or less [than the flu], just two different illnesses that share some features, but have some distinct differences."

Many of us here were saying exactly these things, months ago. But most would not listen, bought into the media narrative and insisted the end is nigh. Even now there are many who are doubling and tripling down, unable to admit to themselves they have been fooled.

Just a reminder that none of us are immune to media manipulation. We can all become so blinded by it that we cannot see the truth anymore, even when people try to show it to us. The only way to protect yourself is to be vigilant, and to always remain willing to consider the possibility that you are wrong about anything and everything.

More or less good advice. I would say, everyone is always wrong, all the time if they do not actually have data. Once the data starts coming in you must re-evaluate your hypothesis and form a new opinion. Strictly based on the data. Not what you want. Not what you feel. Not what is convenient. Not what doesn't make you look dumb in retrospect.

Yes I was. Do I want to rub it in? Not really, but people need to shake off their media-induced hysteria about this nothing virus and realize they've been manipulated. Folks, if you thought this virus was deadly, snap out of it. It's no more deadly than the average chest cold, which is pretty much what it is.

my idiot liberal college educated friends would literaly say this type of shit. they are just under reporting deaths and it could get much worse or would have been worse if that area had not done social distancing.

im sadly not joking. I cant even see what they would say because I have ghosted practicaly all of them.

Day 60—No Mask. I should wipe my ass with the college degrees of these spineless and brainless weasels. They never learned discernment, these rote memorization, adderall popping “muh career” motherfuckers. I hate them like chomos are hated in prison.
