Good catch. Never would've even thought about it being a problem, I reserve that for /pol/.

It's a self-selecting group. The vast majority of people simply don't use facebook.

It depends on where you're from and your reluctance to connect with people on there. A lot of the new people I accepted are close to the friend limit (5k) and barely know any of them; they're from different states or countries. Gen X and boomers typically aren't like that though.

Never bothered signing up with Faceberg; there are unfortunately some idiot females in my family and it's uncomfortable enough seeing them at family gatherings. Having their opinions and drama at my fingertips all hours of the day is not something I'm interested in.

I wish I hadn't. You cant get rid of it. I made my account the first year it came out, when it was only available to college students and thought it would be a good way to be social and fight out social happenings on campus.
Then later in life I fell into the trap that I could use it to market my business for free. Facebook is a trap. I havent logged on for a long time thankfully, but it would be nice to be able to completely delete the account. I used to drink a lot.

No one really knew back then - especially if you were a kid. Their ad system is complete fraud, by the way:
Even if you don't have an account with LifeLo-, I mean, Facebook, it still collects information about you. The question is: are you going to willingly give up your information?
I've heard how some people have deleted their account then later decided to go back to Facebook, only to find that everything was still there. Their account was right where they left off. I don't like that at all.

If you're gonna have a Facebook then keep your guard up. Just add people you know, set everything to 'friends only'.
There's conservatives on Facebook but we generally just talk among each other and keep out of the public eye.
And yes I've seen people go after someone's parents, friends, and siblings before. I've seen women in their 50's writing to colleges, trying to rat out a teenager who said something that they found inappropriate. I wouldn't believe some of the shit if I hadn't seen it myself.

I haven't ever used Twitter, but to my understanding this kind of SJW behavior is prevalent on there and slowly seeped into Facebook over time during the eight years I was absent.

Social networks are designed to amplify virtue signals. It's no wonder Faceberg is full of SJW retards.

And came here to bitch about it

Nothing like a hot shower if you fall into the sewer.
Honestly, FB is of course going to be filled with ingrates with no legitimate or natural way of life. When all it takes is another person to push a thumbs up to feel validated, all those that similarly need to have thier life validated will flock.

Lmao true, it wasn't always this crazy though. 2012 was a different time. These people used to be the minority on there.
