I was improperly told to turn the other cheek - never to stand up for myself. Remnants of my fathers dad who died when he was young. He never had a model to understand what to do. I don't put the blame on him but recognize what it is. I try everyday to get rid of the passivity - but it is unfortunately part of my DNA. Always hated it... ALWAYS>

There have been several generations of mediocrity that have lead to weak willed mediocre acceptance as the norm. Most cant think beyond the next ten minutes and crave social media likes, Males have been emasculated and told its toxic to be a male, and females suffer from the muh "i can have it all" crap. Then add to that me,me, me ideals, it will of course end in tears.
I went to an independent garden center today-- support local, feed my thirst, get out of my head. Brought mom and dad - 78 and 82 respectively... didn't wear masks as we were outside, wind blowing, waiting in line.. KAREN alert.... yelling at us, calling us Losers...I stood my ground, we're outside, rule doesn't state outside...blah fucking blah... we got to front of line and KAREN reprimanded the employee for not enforcing us... so we put on masks, went inside, took them off and 78 YO mom coughed on the bitch. GOLD.
We can talk years about the way this bubble wrap thinghy guides our life.
the problem is aptly described by the founding fathers.
In essence, it comes down to choice. If entitlement and the culture around it is pervasive the real revolution starts there.
the choice to know, the choice is yours alone and one other thing,
" I dare all that may become a man, he who dares more is none.
