It's just a drop on a hot stone. What about all laptops manufactures in China? Or chipsets used to build electronic equipment in the USA? All this I would consider strategic and it should be manufactured "at home".

Yep, I really wanted to buy the DJI Maverik Pro drone last year, but didn't because I knew about this backdoor Chinese bullshit in them. I'm guessing they use your cellular network to send data through an app?

This is why they want 5G too. Because you can choose not to connect your smart device to a wifi signal, but if there is 5G network everywhere the smart devices can simply connect to 5G anyway. Imagine buying a smart tv and even though you don't set up wifi it still connects automatically to 5G.
