Minerals come from bones and the marrow. I have to admit, I only use the meat in my stews, not the bone. Agree about milk and butter though. Only whole fat milk and butter for me. Skimmed milk is revolting, as well as pointless - just coloured water with no nutritional value at all, and margarine is a couple of molecules away from plastic.

I did a personal training course a few years ago and a big part of the course was nutrition. Margarine is basically a transfat which stops cells from releasing energy (atp) during exercise (or general physical exertion). Another health fad is excluding skin from chicken and other meat fats from the diet. Fats produce nerve and brain cells which might explain why many of these people come across as being quite dim.

AUKA, I read up in the values of collagen and the benefits, was quite interesting what I found. here, I find that real butter comes with a warning label that says contains minerals and other fats. does our body not require these things ?

It's strange, minerals and fats are essential for our bodies but 'the scientists' say otherwise. I've got to the stage in my life where I ignore scientists and trust my own research. To be honest, I was shocked at the labelling on food in the US when I've been there..

It's incredible, any other animal in the animal kingdom knows how to live, what to eat, how to raise babies etc but for some reason, humans rely on people like 'scientists' and 'experts' to tell them what to do and why they must or must not do it.. Animals just get on with it whereas humans agonise and justify on whether they should do something..
