Chickens do not go bad, they walk around, eat and grow old like the rest of us. I see no reason to euthanize them because of this forced pandemic lockdown. Areas are actually opening up and this whole lockdown will be over soon.

We are headed directly into a food shortage. I read somewhere that it will last from 6 to 8 weeks. I hope most people are prepared for this. I also know that a lot of people are not prepared. This will probably escalate very quickly. This is my take on it anyways.

Glad we have at least a year's supply of long-term-storage food in buckets. We could go longer if we need to.

And yet egg prices in Texas have doubled and there's a shortage. Is this part of The Plan, too? <sarc>

I have heard that dairy farmers in the UK have had similar issues - tipping away gallons of milk every day. It happens because they had contracts with restaurants and the demand fell to zero.

However, hasn't someone somewhere worked out that we are still the same number of people and we still need to eat? All that has happened is that we need the food in the shops and not in the restaurants.

Maybe I could be a rocket scientist after all!

Why don't they give the food away for free?

I can see there could be issues if the farm is a long way from civilisation and they have 1,000 gallon tanks of milk with only a connection for a milk tanker.
