Protip: Eggs will keep in your fridge or cool counter for up to 6 months if you wipe them down with a thin layer of mineral oil or vaseline.

During the not-so-Great Depression FDR killed 'six million baby pigs' for the same reason.. not enough starving people to suit his nwoCabal masters.

A customer I have in Maryland told me yesterday that a huge chicken/egg producer in Delaware slaughtered over 2 million chickens recently due to lack of demand and canceled orders.

I was horrified to read they were going to gas them all in the fall!

This is how we get eggs? We grow chickens and kill them en mass, then grow another flock?

Shame on us.

A society can be judged on the way it treats its animals. And sometimes we just suck

I have heard that dairy farmers in the UK have had similar issues - tipping away gallons of milk every day. It happens because they had contracts with restaurants and the demand fell to zero.

However, hasn't someone somewhere worked out that we are still the same number of people and we still need to eat? All that has happened is that we need the food in the shops and not in the restaurants.

Maybe I could be a rocket scientist after all!

Why don't they give the food away for free?

I can see there could be issues if the farm is a long way from civilisation and they have 1,000 gallon tanks of milk with only a connection for a milk tanker.
