It certainly appears that we are facing serious food shortages thanks to this insane response to the virus. We either have the most stupid people in politics in human history, or they are the most devious.

This youtube ch...covers the increasing food shortages...& CO2 shortage = NO BEER

Chickens, milk dumped, pork industry about shut down, plowing veggies back into the ground...because during a pandemic folks don't eat. Right??? There is fix'n to be a major food shortage...but it won't be in the US. All that farm product China agreed to buy before they declared war will go to support our allies. China will starve.

Name names!! Who did it! Who gave the order? Did that farmer agree to letting, whoever they are, to euthanize them?

The farmer doesn't "own" the chickens or the feed. Not how the chicken house business works. The farmer owns the property and is contractually bound to...(think Tyson) to care for their chickens and only their chickens and feed them only their prepared feed. The owners can turn them all into nuggets any time they want.

I have heard that dairy farmers in the UK have had similar issues - tipping away gallons of milk every day. It happens because they had contracts with restaurants and the demand fell to zero.

However, hasn't someone somewhere worked out that we are still the same number of people and we still need to eat? All that has happened is that we need the food in the shops and not in the restaurants.

Maybe I could be a rocket scientist after all!

Why don't they give the food away for free?

I can see there could be issues if the farm is a long way from civilisation and they have 1,000 gallon tanks of milk with only a connection for a milk tanker.

A customer I have in Maryland told me yesterday that a huge chicken/egg producer in Delaware slaughtered over 2 million chickens recently due to lack of demand and canceled orders.
